Fixed fee: £99 a year

A dormant company still has to file accounts with Companies House every year, even when nothing has happened. We prepare and file them for you so you never face a late filing penalty – those start at £150 for a private company.

Is your company dormant?

For Companies House purposes, a company is dormant if it has had no significant accounting transactions during the year. Paying the Companies House confirmation statement fee or issuing shares when the company was formed doesn’t stop it being dormant. If the company has received income, paid expenses or held a bank account with activity, it isn’t dormant and needs full accounts – we’ll check this for you.

What’s included

  • Confirmation that the company qualifies as dormant
  • Dormant accounts prepared for director approval
  • Filing with Companies House – there is no Companies House fee for filing accounts
  • A reminder of next year’s deadline

Changes to dormant accounts filing

Companies House is moving to software-only accounts filing, which will end the free online AA02 service for many companies. Filing through us means nothing changes for you.

Save with the combined dormant package

Dormant accounts and the dormant Corporation Tax return together – £149 a year instead of £178. Add your confirmation statement and the whole year is covered for £229 all-in, including the £50 Companies House fee. See dormant company accounts and tax return.

No VAT is added to our fees – the price you see is the price you pay.
