Micro-entity accounts (FRS 105)
Simplified statutory accounts for the smallest UK companies, prepared under FRS 105 and filed with Companies House and HMRC.
This service at a glance
FRS 105 is the simplest accounting standard available to UK companies. If your company qualifies as a micro-entity, we prepare your statutory accounts under FRS 105, file them with Companies House and use the same figures for your Corporation Tax return – so you get one joined-up job and one fee.
Does my company qualify as a micro-entity?
For accounting periods beginning on or after 6 April 2025, a company is generally a micro-entity if it meets at least two of these three tests:
- Turnover of no more than £1 million
- Balance sheet total (gross assets) of no more than £500,000
- An average of no more than 10 employees
Some companies are excluded regardless of size, including certain financial services businesses, charities and some group companies. We confirm eligibility before we start.
What’s included
- Balance sheet and profit and loss account prepared to FRS 105
- Director approval pack with clear notes on what you’re signing
- Online filing with Companies House
- Full statutory accounts and computations attached to your CT600
- A plain-English review call so you understand your numbers
Why choose micro-entity accounts?
Micro-entity accounts need very few disclosure notes, which keeps cost down and puts less information on the public register. The trade-off is that FRS 105 does not allow fair value accounting – for example investment property must be carried at cost. If that matters to you, we’ll talk you through FRS 102 Section 1A instead.
Deadlines
Private companies normally have nine months from the end of the financial year to file accounts at Companies House. Late filing penalties start immediately, so we diarise your deadline from the day you sign up.
