Voluntary registration can also make sense if your customers are VAT-registered businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changes on the way<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Autumn Budget 2026 confirmed that from April 2027 the reverse charge on services bought from overseas will only apply to VAT-registered UK businesses, and that mandatory e-invoicing is planned from April 2029.
